Road to School Activity

Project Connect / Family Center offers a variety of workshops throughout the year on topics that address the needs of  parents with young children. Examples include Toilet Learning,  Nutrition, Choosing a Quality Preschool and Getting Ready for Kindergarten.

The Family Center also facilitates the

Examples of specialized playgroups include:

  • Coffee and Conversation, a group for parents and caregivers to share the joys and challenges of raising young children.

  • Donuts with Dads, a playgroup specifically for children with their Dads, Granddads, Uncles, etc.

  • Grandparents Playgroup, for grandparents either raising or caring for their grandchildren.

  • Messy Play, a parent/child activity where children engage their senses using shaving cream, finger paints, play dough, etc.

  • Fun with Early Literacy, a group where children explore stories in a preschool-like setting

  • PTO, this is a parent-led group. This group assists with fund-raising and plans family activities throughout the year.

We also offer varied activities throughout the year depending on interest.
